I work on economic and policy challenges in agriculture, energy, and the environment. Current topics include robotics and artificial intelligence in agriculture (a set of technologies with potential to increase productivity and improve environmental outcomes), climate policy challenges related to agriculture (including biofuels, soil carbon sequestration, and livestock emissions), and modeling the effects of climate policies. Volumes of agricultural data are available, but much of it is hard to find and hard to work with. Together with some excellent graduate students, I have created a set of data apps for users to easily view and download data from the comfort of your web browser. This is a living site that we are continually improving. Click here to try it out.
